Psychodynamic Counselling
Psychodynamic counselling is derived from psychoanalysis and understands that patterns of
thinking, relating and behaving are formed from childhood and past experiences. These
patterns are usually in our unconscious mind, so we are not readily aware of them, but
they still affect the way we act in the present day.
Therefore, it may be useful for us in our work together to consider past events and unconscious processes; this may help us to make sense of your current concerns and allow you to decide on any changes you may wish to make.
